The Elizabethtown Area School District board approved three action items by roll-call vote during Tuesday’s workshop.
First, the board accepted an addendum allowing Columbia Borough School District to piggyback on the district’s Craft transportation contract. Administration said the change is expected to reduce the district’s base per-bus rate and produce an immediate estimated savings of about $50,000 and potential combined-route savings across partner districts of up to $100,000.
Second, the board approved a PSBA (Pennsylvania School Boards Association) subscription that includes the Keystone Agenda and the PSBA “all access” package; proponents cited customer support, included data migration of existing BoardDocs content and training as advantages over staying with BoardDocs, which lacks planned upgrades.
Third, the board voted to accept the personnel report as presented, which administration said includes the district’s recommended yearly appointments and welcomes a new director of curriculum.
All three items were carried on roll-call votes with the directors recorded as voting in the affirmative. The board announced an executive session on personnel to follow the meeting.
