The supervisor described the arrangement as a "win‑win," saying it meets the state's cash‑equivalent match requirement while improving county infrastructure.
Board members who supported the resolution highlighted benefits including neighborhood cleanup, improved tax base and reduced future maintenance on the newly paved road. The motion to approve the county match and the resolution to support the grant application carried after a recorded vote.
