Rezoning request for 102 Pinewood Drive gets no recommendation after motion to deny fails

During the commission’s deliberation a motion to deny the rezoning was made, but the motion received no second and therefore failed. The Chair stated the matter will be sent to the town council with no recommendation from the commission. Staff had earlier confirmed no members of the public had signed up to speak on the rezoning during the public hearing.
Because the commission did not take an affirmative position, town council will consider the rezoning application de novo.
