City staff explained that the CDBG grant totals $926,300 for interior and exterior home improvements to bring homes up to code, and that HUD guidelines require lead assessments and clearances where applicable. The council authorized the City Manager and Community Development Director to sign homeowner and contractor contracts and directed Accounts Payable to pay contractors upon satisfactory completion of work. Funds for the described line items will be paid from the Housing & Redevelopment Fund 254-200-818.000 CDBGHRGP24.
The action follows homeowners selecting responsive contractor quotes and staff verification of contractor responsiveness and eligibility under the grant program.
