Office of Small Business Opportunity reports 282 certified SLBEs, announces June 4 workshop

A committee member asked whether the Office of Small Business Opportunity had coordinated with the county’s on‑call engineering lists and specialty contractor groups for the county’s transportation training program. Brievett said she met with Director Michael Moloney and his team in recent months to identify which firms could support that work and that the office is coordinating to be prepared when opportunities arise.
Brievett’s presentation emphasized outreach and contractor preparedness: the workshop will cover what county departments procure, best practices for contracting with the county, vendor‑portal navigation and compliance tips for SLBE certification. She invited committee members to direct prospective vendors to the registration link given in the meeting.
