At its May 12 meeting, the Weber County Commission approved routine consent items and took action on a small contract to begin environmental review for a proposed walkway along 900 South.
Finance staff summarized purchase orders and warrants: a purchase order total highlighted items for the Golden Spike Event Center and IT security; warrants totaled about $4.3 million with top allotments for paramedic services, an ARPA disbursement for the Promontory Commerce Center infrastructure project, and GRAMA awards. Jason Horn described top vendors and the breakdown of major warrant categories.
The commission then unanimously approved consent items G1 through G14 by voice vote.
On action item H1, Ashley Tallman presented a proposed walkway between the east boundary of West Weber Elementary and 3600 West. The project is funded with a $1,000,000 CMAQ award and just under $400,000 from the Carbon Reduction Program, with a local match of $101,347 already included in the 2026 budget. Purchasing solicited four proposals for an environmental document; Wilson & Company was the low proposer at $16,817. A commissioner moved to approve the contract, a second was given, and the motion carried.
The meeting closed after a motion to adjourn.
