Following an executive session on May 18, the Winchester Town Board of Selectmen approved a set of motions to bring multiple town-owned properties to market and scheduled a town meeting to consider specific sales.
A motion to sell 99 Hubbard Street for $40,000 and move that sale to a town meeting was moved and seconded and approved. The board later approved a motion to sell 124 Rockwell Street for $26,500 and move that to town meeting as well. The board then voted to list additional town-owned parcels for sale, including 32 Hubbard Street, 82–84 Rockwell Street, 17 Birdsall Street and 132 Florence Street.
The Chair set a town meeting to consider the property-sale actions for June 15 at 6:30 p.m. in the Hicks Room. All motions reported out of executive session were approved by the board and the specified sales were placed on the June 15 town meeting agenda.
Board minutes record the sales authorizations as approved without recorded opposition and the scheduling motion as approved. The vote tallies were recorded as unanimous by the meeting chair.
