Clearlake measures 7.36 ft; Cache Creek losing 175.76 cfs as county pursues hazardous-fuels funding

County water-resources staff reported several condition and funding updates during the Lake County Community Risk Reduction Authority meeting.
Staff said Clearlake is currently at 7.36 feet and that Cache Creek dam is losing 175.76 cubic feet of water per second. On the financial side, county staff said they are actively pursuing $165,000 in funding through CalOES/FEMA for hazardous fuel reduction work that would include four separate areas, each roughly one mile, across Lake County.
The water-resources update was presented as part of the County Staff Updates portion of the agenda; staff also noted the county continues to monitor conditions and will report additional technical details at future meetings or as data are available.
