Some supervisors objected to approving the manual without all suggested red-line edits included; one member proposed adding a policy limiting per diem claims for members who attend only briefly by Zoom or arrive late to roll call. The county clerk noted attendance and voucher approval complexities and recommended clearer procedural language.
The committee adopted the supervisor policy and procedure manual earlier in the meeting, but members then voted to rescind or table related personnel-manual updates so the full package (including AI language and suggested rule changes about Zoom attendance and per diems) can be reviewed and republished before the full county board meeting. The motion to table earned a second and carried; the items will return to the administrative committee in June for further review.
