Glenview Board approves parks, contracts and two liquor‑license increases on first consideration

The board moved to approve the consent agenda and approved it by roll call. President Michael Jenny then introduced new business.
On first consideration the board approved an ordinance to allow Avoca Park at 1127 Hunter Road to proceed through the conditional‑use process with final site plan, architecture and landscaping approval. Dr. Brady summarized the new development commission’s 5–0 recommendation, described the park layout and access points, and noted the property’s P‑1 Public Lands District zoning. The motion to approve 11A passed by roll call.
The board also took first consideration of an ordinance amending Chapter 6 of the Glenview Municipal Code to increase the number of Class A liquor licenses from 56 to 57 for Kitakata Ramen Banai (610 Milwaukee Ave., Suite 140) and to increase Class B licenses from 10 to 11 for Namanpoka (773 Milwaukee Ave.). Mr. Clark summarized the license types and that the applicants were not present; the board moved and the motion carried on first consideration.
