At the May 18 meeting the Village of East Dundee board approved the consent agenda with several items pulled for separate consideration. Motions recorded in the meeting packet and taken at the meeting include:
- Approval of village board meeting minutes dated 05/04/2026. - Acceptance of the warrants list in the amount of $589,049.07. - Ordinance granting a Class E liquor license to Duke's Blues Barbecue and amending the municipal code to increase the number of Class E licenses. - Resolution approving a memorandum of understanding between the Village of East Dundee and the Village of West Dundee pertaining to wastewater treatment.
Item C (advice and consent to appointment of Mary Kay Harvey and Malachy Stenger to the Arts Council) was considered separately; a trustee recused themself from that item due to a familial relationship with a nominee, and the board approved the appointments (Mary Kay Harvey was not present; Malachy Stenger was present and greeted by trustees).
The board also approved a resolution authorizing a nonexclusive outdoor seating area license agreement between the village and River Street 102 LLC. Trustees discussed potential accessibility and winter storage implications and asked staff to prepare future draft standards for outdoor seating in the public way.
Vote outcomes: the motions on the consent agenda were seconded and approved by roll call; one trustee was noted absent from roll call earlier in the meeting and one trustee recused on item C.
