Johnson told trustees she has worked in education since 1999, recently relocated to Random Lake with her husband, volunteers in schools and the community, and was encouraged to apply by her daughter, who works in the district. Board members welcomed her and noted the appointment restores a full board quorum after a recent resignation.
The board completed the formalities at the meeting and invited Johnson to take her seat immediately. No opposition to the appointment was recorded; the swearing-in was administered at the meeting and the district will finalize any required paperwork.
