Trustees reviewed vacant liaison seats and volunteered or confirmed representatives for tourism, historic preservation, parks & rec, the Latino Advisory Board and other local organizations. Staff said formalizing those assignments will be placed on the consent calendar at the next meeting.
On downtown strategy, staff reported the Town Center RFP drew eight respondents and recommended a winnowing and interview process. "We had 8 respondents," staff said; trustees discussed forming a small review group, asked staff to prepare summary sheets for each respondent, and suggested sending finalists a set of questions in advance of interviews.
Trustees also heard brief staff updates about a proposed pilot to combine earlier work sessions with dinner (starting July 14 on a second‑and‑fourth‑week cadence), EV chargers that are installed but not yet active, and other near‑term operational matters.
Next steps: staff will place liaison appointments on the consent calendar, prepare RFP summary materials and interview questions, and coordinate volunteer participation in the review process.
