Marvin Anderson elected chair of Oneida Vilas Transit Commission

Marvin Anderson was elected chair of the Oneida Vilas Transit Commission during its April 27, 2026 meeting in Eagle River, the commission recorded. Transit Manager Barb Newman opened nominations and commissioners approved the slate by voice vote.
Anderson was nominated by Commissioner Billy Fried and the commission recorded the vote as "All ayes." Anderson then opened nominations for vice-chair; he nominated Fried, who was approved by voice vote after a declined nomination for Lenore Lopez. Fried nominated Dawn Winquist for secretary/treasurer; that nomination, too, was approved by voice vote.
The elections were conducted at the start of the meeting after the commission established a quorum at 9:05 a.m. and recited the pledge of allegiance. The newly elected officers will serve at the direction of the commission until the next elections cycle, the minutes state. The commission adjourned at 10:26 a.m.
