Board approves CTE fund redirection for culinary upgrades and OKs two waiver days for staff PLC work

Separately the board approved Resolution E26 to apply for two full waiver days (Wednesday, Sept. 23 and Wednesday, Dec. 2) so teachers can engage in Professional Learning Community (PLC) work — an extended uninterrupted day to unpack essential standards and develop common assessments. David Kennedy said the district has used these waiver days in prior years and considers them important for meaningful PLC progress; the board approved the waiver‑day resolution by voice vote.
Board members noted the value of PLC data and said the district plans to integrate the PLC Data Hub and present progress data to the board during the school year.
