Facilities staff described the trades building as an approximately 8,064‑square‑foot facility to be located on the high‑school campus (between the gym and the portable). Estimated construction cost is about $2,100,000 and the project will be funded from the district’s 2024 capital levy; the board authorized advertising and bidding.
The Futures program project is intended to provide a dedicated site and parking for an 18–21 year old special‑education modular facility, including demolition of an old maintenance building and improvements to traffic flow and parking. District staff estimated the modular units plus site work at roughly $6.7 million and said the project will be funded with impact fees collected from development; the board authorized public bidding.
The Amboy Middle School roof replacement was presented as a full membrane replacement with wet‑insulation replacement and a 30‑year manufacturer performance arrangement; trustees approved awarding the contract using capital‑levy funds. Trustees also approved a $628,710 carpeting contract for Yackel Primary School obtained through the Sourcewell cooperative contract mechanism.
Each motion passed by voice vote with no recorded opposition.
