EV charging policy: Trustee Ross introduced a resolution to adopt a Village Hall electric vehicle charging station policy. The sustainability coordinator described the key points: no fee for charging at these stations, a four-hour parking limit while charging, signage requirements and other guidelines to ensure fair access. The board approved the resolution by voice vote.
Illinois Road no-parking ordinance: Residents brought a petition supported by a majority of affected neighbors requesting no parking on the south side of Illinois Road near the Shermer Road intersection to improve sightlines and safety. Trustee Abomey Allen moved an ordinance to enact the restriction; Trustee Hebel seconded. Village staff reported no objection. The board passed the ordinance by roll call (unanimous yes).
