Clinton County board declines to waive FOIA legal-review fees, creates budget line for future requests

The county proposed a fee of $150 to the requesting party to offset a portion of that outside counsel cost. Supervisor Irwin moved to not waive or reduce the fee; the motion carried with a unanimous roll call (Irwin Yes; George Yes; Srp Yes).
The board also approved creating a budget line to capture costs associated with formal public-records requests going forward.
The meeting minutes do not show any additional reductions or waivers; the fee and the new budget line were the actions recorded.
