County Live Scan rollout hit by ORI mismatch; state police to provide trainer once connection is fixed

County staff reported technical difficulties in the Live Scan fingerprinting transition and are coordinating with the Pennsylvania State Police to resolve them.
"With the transition of the Live Scan, we've run into some bugs," staff member Kathleen said, explaining that ORI numbers were not matching and the PSP portal was not accepting certain transmissions. She said PSP indicated willingness to send a trainer for about two days to provide hands-on training once the system connection is corrected.
Staff and sheriff's office representatives said the primary hurdle is establishing the portal connection and matching ORI numbers; once the connection is made, the technical training itself should be straightforward, they said. The board asked staff to continue working with PSP and bring a timetable when the connection and training dates are known.
