DeTrevara, who said she formerly received Osborne services and now works for the agency, described programs to help justice-impacted and returning citizens with reentry barriers such as housing and employment eligibility. "Once they step in, they say, 'oh, this agency wants to help me,'" she said, describing the agency's referral network and resource listings.
She detailed outreach work including health fairs and community events that have become known for being welcoming and safe; DeTrevara said the agency focuses on making clients comfortable during intake and provides HIV testing and other standard services alongside broader supports.
DeTrevara emphasized Osborne's role in offering services that are gender-affirming and culturally competent, noting the importance of visible staff, case managers and peer connections. "Being welcoming and safe is what we provide," she said.
