The Menomonee Falls Village Board voted unanimously to amend the comprehensive-plan land-use designation and rezone the parcel at N88W13764 Main Street (tax key 39.77) to I-1 Light Industrial, clearing the way for a proposed industrial building on the site.
Amy, the Plan Commission's presenter, summarized the application and said the Plan Commission held a public hearing on May 5 and recommended the comprehensive-plan amendment and rezoning unanimously. "The existing land use is mixed use...the proposed zoning is I-one Light Industrial," Amy said while presenting a concept plan for the site at Main Street and Lilly Road.
Trustee Cata moved to adopt an ordinance amending the comprehensive plan from mixed-use to industrial land use and to rezone the property for development of a new industrial building; the motion was seconded and passed by unanimous voice vote. Trustees noted the plan-commission-level public hearing and clarified that the board-level zoning change is a separate procedural step.
The board did not record detailed conditions or a development agreement during the motion; the action was a zoning decision to allow the property owner and prospective developer to pursue the proposed industrial use under I-1 zoning. The board proceeded to other business after the vote.
