Presenters and commissioners emphasized cross-agency partnerships: behavioral health, EMS, public health, social services, housing and veterans services were acknowledged during the mental health recognition; small-business proclamations cited U.S. Small Business Administration and local Chamber of Commerce data; foster care remarks noted state and county foster care counts; and AAPI presenters highlighted local population growth and civic engagement.
County Manager David Ellis introduced a recognition for six retirees from public health, the sheriff’s office, libraries and other departments, noting multi-decade service and prompting applause from the Board.
The Board moved and approved the consent agenda without discussion. No substantive policy actions or budget votes were taken under the consent agenda during this meeting; those matters remain subject to subsequent budget deliberations.
The Board later scheduled its next regular meeting for June 1 at 5 p.m.
