The Henry County Commission appointed trustees to the newly created Stonebridge Common Sewer District during the May 14 meeting, voting on each nominee individually as required by statute.
The commission approved motions to appoint Boyd Bachelet to a three-year term, Mark Smith to a two-year term, Brian Goff to a one-year term, Dale Bassinen to a four-year term and Chuck Farris to a five-year term. The motions were made, seconded and carried; the clerk said the county would provide original appointment documents and mail copies to each appointee.
The clerk noted that nominees’ terms are staggered so the district will have rotating expirations; the county will keep records and provide appointees with documentation. The commission did not discuss funding or operational details for the district during the appointment votes.
No public controversy over the appointments was recorded; staff said they would send copies of the appointment documents to the district’s files and to individual appointees.
