Jill presented the IPRTF’s first draft annual report and asked members to review its executive summary and three main sections: topics before the task force, the Justice Project Oversight and Planning (JPOP) committee report, and the implementation‑plan progress report.
"We are in the first draft of the annual report," Jill said, asking members to send corrections, missing information and suggested edits. She said the JPOP committee’s draft would be reviewed by that committee later in the week and that the final annual report will go to the county council in June. Jill asked members to send edits by 10 a.m. on Monday, June 8.
Mayor Cortez and other members offered targeted edits during the meeting: Cortez recommended clarifying repeated references to the 23‑hour crisis center to reflect its expected co‑location with the behavioral care center and suggested wording changes on community engagement and "no booking restrictions." Jill said she would incorporate redline comments and follow up with members to confirm data and status updates from agencies and work groups.
Jill also noted the report draws on quarterly reports from the executive’s office and includes a section summarizing accomplishments on implementation‑plan projects; she invited members to propose additions for the small "other community initiatives" section.
The co‑chairs asked members to send suggested edits and corrections by the June 8 deadline so staff can prepare the final report for the June meeting.
