On interagency cooperation, the board approved an updated 28E shared‑facilities agreement with Iowa Western Community College that expands shared use beyond football to include baseball, softball and swimming. The agreement retains a per‑season rental fee (reported as $2,000 per season) and clarifies that Iowa Western will cover 20% of mutually agreed renovation costs.
The board also approved a shared‑services arrangement with the Lewis Central Education Foundation under which the foundation will purchase 20% of a newly created executive administrative assistant's time to support foundation operations while the district reallocates some administrative tasks internally.
