Erin Warner told Warren City Council on May 20 that her downtown gift shop, Raft and Rooted, opened in November and offers gifts, houseplants, a potting bar and tuxedo rentals. Warner said the shop is at 201 Liberty Street in a renovated former bank vault and noted local vendor partnerships and hours of operation.
“I opened my gift shop in November 17, so 6 months now have been open,” Warner said. She described the potting bar where customers can pick out pots and plants, noted prom and wedding season tuxedo rentals through a local partner, and said she is working to raise awareness of the store so downtown shoppers know the shop is available. Council thanked Warner for the presentation and for bringing treats to the meeting.
Warner provided store hours (Tuesday–Friday, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m.–2 p.m.) and the location; council members welcomed the new business and encouraged residents to shop and support local vendors.
