The Greenfield Common Council on May 19 unanimously approved a cooperation agreement with Milwaukee County needed to receive Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for housing and community development activities.
The mayor urged approval, saying some neighborhood projects depend on the agreement: without it, certain funding would not flow to affected districts. The council moved, seconded and approved the agreement by roll call.
Council members recorded Aye votes during the roll call and the motion carried. The approval enables the city to participate in county‑administered CDBG programs and positions the city to receive allocations for eligible projects in coming funding cycles.
