Mrs. Cowell described the METS culinary management contract renewal process and the five‑year RFP cycle the district follows, emphasizing evaluation criteria beyond lowest bid.
Finance staff reported two donations ($1,500 and $1,000) directed to family engagement and high‑school mental health initiatives, listed $241,420.48 in general fund transfers, and presented ratification of the remaining natural gas commodity purchase that completes the district’s portfolio for Sept. 2025–Aug. 2028. Several consent items were approved in bulk by voice vote; one procurement item (joint purchasing consortium) was approved by roll‑call vote later in the meeting.
Board members asked questions about vendor performance, pricing and regulatory requirements for the food service RFP; administrators noted that USDA/Bureau of Food and Nutrition rules drive portions of the procurement process.
