The town's counsel and staff opposed further delay but agreed that resetting the hearing to June 9 would permit a review of progress. Code enforcement officer Deanna Thomas testified service had been performed (affidavit of posting) and confirmed postings and case-file documentation.
Magistrate Amity Barnard entered evidence limited to service documents for the day and granted the requested continuance to June 9 for further consideration of compliance and any fine assessment. The magistrate reiterated that the prior compliance dates in earlier orders remain in force and that the reset is procedural to give the parties time to present progress documentation on the next hearing date.
