County manager (S3) summarized the collaborative’s recommendations—highlighting family treatment court, peer-support services and targeted administrative contracts—and advised commissioners that Trillium had notified the county it will provide $50,000 restricted for family treatment court. "We have received $1,900,000 so far. We have spent $384,000 to date... they are going to be given $50,000 for family treatment courts," S3 said, and asked the board to approve a budget amendment to accept that funding so it can be applied to salary and fringe this fiscal year.
Commissioners moved and approved the budget amendment to accept the $50,000 and agreed the collaborative’s recommended $415,000 program total should be the working proposal; S3 said programs will have to show metrics at each collaborative meeting going forward to justify continued funding.
The collaborative also recommended smaller allocations for Narcan (reduced because of Trillium donations) and a $17,000 summer day camp focused on substance‑use prevention for identified youth.
Next steps: the county will amend the budget to accept the Trillium funds and require program metrics and reporting in the coming year as part of ongoing funding decisions.
