Jaime Bautista cites PRP participation and sobriety as he seeks early probation termination

Jaime Bautista (agency case 7448, OAH 2026050194) appeared before the disciplinary petition committee on May 19 seeking early termination of a five-year probation imposed after a 2022 DUI-related case.
Deputy Attorney General Nicole Trauma summarized the case: Bautista's underlying conviction involved a high blood-alcohol concentration and the board imposed a stayed revocation and five-year probation. Trauma said Bautista has paid board costs ($3,991.25), enrolled in the pharmacist recovery program (PRP), submitted criminal probation reports and other documents, and was in a PRP transition phase.
Bautista told the committee PRP had been important to his recovery, that he had been abstinent since July 28, 2023, and that he attends AA meetings and PRP sessions; he said he intended to complete the PRP transition even if probation were terminated. "The therapy has really helped me out a lot," he said. Bautista described plans to continue community and recovery activities and to practice in underserved, rural communities.
DAG Trauma acknowledged Bautista's compliance but told the committee that because he has not finished PRP and documentation of the transition phase was incomplete, the People recommend completion of PRP before terminating probation. Bautista and the People nevertheless agreed the matter was submitted; the record closed and the committee moved to closed session to deliberate.
