Centre County agricultural board confirms 2026 officers, approves administrative resolutions

The Centre County Agricultural Land Preservation Board on Jan. 22 confirmed its 2026 officers and approved several administrative items.
Chair Thomas E. Boldin called the meeting to order at 6:37 p.m. and announced that the meeting "was being recorded." The board retained Thomas Songer III as vice chair, Ronald J. Hoover as secretary and Lamartine F. Hood as treasurer after separate nominations and votes; each motion carried. The board also voted to approve the Oct. 23, 2025 meeting minutes.
The board considered Resolution 1 of 2026, which authorizes Elizabeth, Ray and Liz (staff) to sign closing documents. On a motion by board member James Heckman, seconded by Thomas Songer III, the board approved Resolution 2026-1.
The board adjourned at 8:26 p.m. The next meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 26, 2026, in Room 146 of the Willowbank Office Building in Bellefonte.
