At the start of the March 26 agenda-setting meeting the Union County Board presented a resolution recognizing Leslie Anderson, President and CEO of the New Jersey Redevelopment Authority, on her retirement and thanked her for decades of public service and leadership in redevelopment work across New Jersey.
Chairman Joseph C. Bodek, Vice Chair Rebecca L. Williams and Commissioner Michele S. Delisfort each noted Anderson's long record of service and commitment to equitable redevelopment; Anderson thanked the board and said she was a proud Plainfield native who intends to remain active in the community. The board also placed a series of commissioner-sponsored appointments and laudatory resolutions on the agenda, including reappointments to advisory boards, sponsorships for community events, recognitions for individual honorees and proclamations observing awareness months.
Those sponsor items and recognitions were placed on the board's agenda for formal action at the Regular Meeting.
