Fort LeBoeuf board approves routine business, awards $465,417 bus purchase

The Fort LeBoeuf School District Board of Directors on Feb. 19, 2026, approved a package of routine business, financial and personnel actions, and awarded a bus purchase contract for $465,417.
Board President Bruce Hordusky presided over the meeting in the high school library. On a motion by Board member Mike Rose, seconded by Board member Bob Oberlander, the board approved the Jan. 15, 2026 minutes and later accepted the Treasurer's Report and Annual Comparison Report as of Feb. 1, 2026. The board voted to file expenditure and revenue reports for audit and accepted the Cafeteria Report for audit.
The board approved multiple bill runs and large payments: computer bills #71846–#71852 and #71935–#72078 totaling $2,573,596.40; computer bills #072131–#072217 totaling $599,153.72; and MS Project Series 2024 bills #1055–#1056 totaling $95,330.31 (motions carried with an all "ayes" vote). The board also approved the 2026/2027 Erie County Technical School general budget and filed the local audit for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025.
On procurement, the board awarded the 2026/2027 bus bid to Blue Bird Sales, Inc. in the amount of $465,417.00 (motion by Bob Oberlander, seconded by James Dwyer). The board authorized advertising bids for food service supplies and custodial supplies for 2026/2027, approved district bank account signatories and approved the 2025/2026 spring sports schedule.
Personnel actions approved included acceptance of several resignations and approval of four pending intents to retire (effective dates listed in the minutes), hiring approvals (including Matthew Daubenspeck as 1st assistant boys' volleyball coach and Peyton Jackson as High School Musical/Dinner Theater Director), approval of a tenure request for Madison Weischedel, multiple staff change‑of‑status adjustments, and the district substitute and volunteer lists.
The board approved parent‑paid tuition requests for the 2026/2027 school year for multiple families and grades, and approved field trips (including FBLA State Leadership in Hershey and a high school activity to Niagara Falls/Power Vista), summer camps and pre‑season athletic activities.
Administrative approvals included an addendum to the Pennsylvania State University Dual Credit Affiliation Agreement and revisions to policies covering Family Medical Leave (administration, professional and service), Purchasing and Procurement. The board also approved Technology Education curriculum materials (Cabinet Making/Materials Processing; CAD/Engineering).
All recorded motions carried with an all "ayes" vote. The meeting adjourned at 7:38 p.m.
