The Shikellamy School District Board of Education acknowledged receipt and acceptance of a Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) School Safety & Mental Health Grant in the amount of $154,816.
The board also authorized the high school administration and staff to apply for additional funding opportunities: a PASR (Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees) 'Stock the Classroom' grant to replace kitchen appliances and classroom items for the life-skills program; a Supplemental Equipment Grant to support career-technical education (CTE) programs; and a BOOST (Building Opportunity through Out-of-School Time) grant application to support K–2 summer after-school programming in 2026 and middle-school programming for 2026–29, if awarded.
