Machesney Park board approves consent agenda, adopts 2024 energy code and signs professional services agreement

The Village of Machesney Park Board of Trustees approved its consent agenda during the regular May meeting, adopting an energy-code update and authorizing a professional services agreement.

Finance and HR Director Shannon Hansen presented the three consent items, saying, "Tonight, we have 3 items. First is ordinance 14 26, which is a special use permit for an open sales lot at 9934 North Alpine Road. Second is ordinance 16 26, adopting the 2024 international energy conservation code with Illinois amendments. And the third is resolution 43 r 26, which is a professional services agreement with Ryan LLC." The board heard no requests to remove items from the consent agenda.

Trustee Terry Bailey moved to approve the consent agenda; Trustee Sipes seconded. The board approved the package by roll-call vote with five ayes and no recorded no votes. The consent vote advances Ordinance 14 26 (special-use permit for an open sales lot at 9934 North Alpine Road), Ordinance 16 26 (adopting the 2024 International Energy Conservation Code with Illinois amendments) and Resolution 43 R 26 (professional services agreement with Ryan LLC).
