At the April 21 meeting the Joliet Township High School District 204 board approved an extensive personnel report covering multiple categories: professional resignations, leaves of absence, changes of status, salary advancements, extra pay for coaching and athletics, summer school and ESY staffing, classified hires, retirements, and specific employment recommendations.
Notable employment approvals recorded in the minutes include Joy Bacino as Executive Director of Special Services (District) effective July 1, 2026, at an annual salary of $161,000, William Jahnke as Industrial Technology teacher (Central Campus) effective August 15, 2026, and Daniel Crowe as Director of Informational Technology Systems effective July 1, 2026, at an annual salary of $160,000. The minutes also list numerous coaching and extra‑duty assignments for both Central and West campuses, and multiple leaves and change‑of‑status recommendations.
The motion to approve the personnel reports was made by Lorraine Guerrero Neumayer, seconded by Michelle Stiff, and carried by roll call with all recorded ayes.
Why it matters: Personnel actions affect school operations, course offerings, student services and district budgeting. The new executive director role and the district technology leader are leadership hires that will shape special services and information‑technology operations.
Next steps: District human resources and the affected departments will process hire paperwork, salary placement and start dates per board approval.
