The Muskegon Public Schools Board of Education approved a bundle of routine actions and made a scheduling change during its Feb. 18 meeting.
On a 7-0 vote the board approved the consent agenda covering personnel recommendations, vendor payments and financial statements for the General Fund, Technology Fund, School Lunch Fund and Student Activities (motion by Billie Bruce, support Morgan Witmer). The board also approved special liquor licenses for the Muskegon Museum of Art for April 24 and June 13, 2026 (motion by Billie Bruce, support Christine Hamel), each passed 7-0.
Separately, the board discussed the MAISD 2026–27 budget review but deferred naming a district delegate because of scheduling conflicts among members; the board asked whether a Zoom option could be used. The board voted to move its recurring workshop meeting from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the first Tuesday of the month to accommodate members who work, passing that motion 7-0 (motion by Billie Bruce, support David O'Brien).
Announcements included a student showcase scheduled for March 24, 2026, and the meeting adjourned at 7:29 p.m.
