The Village of Alanson council unanimously adopted an amendment to the village Master Plan at its Feb. 9 meeting after a short public hearing.
Chip Smith of consulting firm Wade Trim presented the final draft of the Master Plan and summarized revisions, which he said were primarily editorial. President Jamie Breithaupt opened a public hearing at 6:03 p.m.; no members of the public offered comments and Breithaupt closed the hearing at 6:04 p.m.
President Breithaupt moved to approve Resolution #1 of 2026 to amend the Master Plan. Trustee Gail Greenwell seconded the motion and the council approved it by a 5‑0 roll call (Trustees Mark Fairbairn, Gail Greenwell, Scott Latva, Wayne McPhall and President Breithaupt voting yes).
