Chair (speaker 2) nominated themself for secretary and nominated Julia for chair, and Mary (speaker 3) seconded the motion. The motion carried on a voice vote during the meeting, with members responding "Aye." After the vote Chair and other members congratulated the nominees.
Committee member (speaker 1) told the group that the previously scheduled June 29 meeting would be too late to authorize checks that must be issued in the same fiscal year and asked whether the committee could meet the week of June 22. Chair (speaker 2) and Mary (speaker 3) discussed availability and a preference for Monday; Chair later confirmed the June 29 meeting was canceled and the committee is scheduled to meet Monday, June 22, at 4:30 p.m.
Members also discussed posting logistics for summer meetings and noted the requirement to post meetings at least 48 hours in advance to comply with public meeting rules. Chair said the meeting time does not always need to be 4:30 p.m. provided posting requirements are met.
The meeting adjourned at 4:47 p.m.
