Chartiers Valley Board approves curriculum purchases, contracts and fund transfers

The Chartiers Valley Board of School Directors on April 14 unanimously approved multiple contracts, curriculum purchases and fund transfers as part of routine business at a public meeting in the Primary School gymnasium.
The board approved a quote from Savvas Learning Company for enVision Mathematics and SuccessMaker programs and materials for grades K–8 in the amount of $724,865.60 with a two-year payment plan. The board also approved $18,234.32 in AP Statistics materials from BFW High School Publishers and $10,410.40 for Applied Calculus WebAssign access from Cengage Learning.
Members approved a 2026–2027 Food Service Management renewal agreement with the Nutrition Group pending solicitor review and Pennsylvania Department of Education approval, and an agreement to sell meals to AIU Head Start for the 2026–2027 school year.
The board authorized a $7,850 proposal from Keystone Structural Solutions to provide additional structural engineering services related to a gym floor concern; Superintendent Dr. Daniel R. Castagna had described the item as a second opinion to help the board decide how to proceed.
As part of the district audit presentation, the board approved transfers of $700,000 from the general fund to the capital projects fund and $401,303 to the debt stabilization fund.
