He noted 78 responses came from households with children in multiple buildings and that responses included a mix of elementary, middle and high‑school families.
Tom said communication was generally rated positively but that district‑level communication scored lower at younger grade bands; the data suggests a possible drop in perceived engagement as students age. He recommended repeating the survey districtwide (rather than limiting distribution to families of enrolled students) and tying results to the district’s strategic plan goals.
Board members asked about the survey’s response rate and whether multiple household members might have responded; the presenter said the survey was tied to email so each address could respond once. Trustees supported adding a community‑wide measure and requested that repeat administrations be used to measure change over time.
