Cerro Gordo supervisors approve contracts, permits and personnel action in brief May 11 session

The Cerro Gordo County Board of Supervisors on May 11 approved several routine items in a brief session. Motions approved unanimously included a professional services contract with Cost Advisory Services, Inc. to prepare the county’s Cost Allocation Plan for FY26–FY28; a 12‑month Iowa retail tobacco/vapor permit for Pine Creek Golf Club effective July 1, 2026; the payroll register for the period ending May 2, 2026; approval of claims; and approval of dock permits 53P and 58P.
The board also adopted Resolution 2026‑26 approving a payroll change for Conservation employee Cadence Rish to $17.00 per hour, effective May 11, 2026, and approved the Sheriff’s monthly report of fees. Reports from the Environmental Health Service Manager on manure management plan updates for Dogwood Double Wide – Franklin Farms (site #65907) and Finch Single Wide – Franklin Farms (site #63675) were approved and forwarded to the Iowa DNR.
All motions were moved and seconded by Supervisors Carl Ginapp and Chris Watts in varying order and passed unanimously. The minutes do not record debate or dissent on any of these items.
