Health‑department representatives described a six‑year accreditation process involving review of 147 benchmarks and praised staff partnerships with schools, nonprofits and health‑care providers.
The board also read a proclamation designating Emergency Medical Services Week 2026 and thanked EMS personnel for their work responding to a high volume of calls, noting they had handled more than 30,000 responses this year in county systems and praising their professionalism and community service.
No formal board action was required for the proclamations; they were presented as ceremonial recognitions.
