Board approves April financials, three resolutions and moves into executive session

At its May 18 meeting the Garfield Heights City Schools Board of Education approved the district's April financial report and a set of resolutions and then voted to enter executive session.

The board approved the April monthly financial report after a staff member noted the district is 83 percent through the fiscal year and that county and state payments have been delayed; the staff reported higher expenditures in areas such as tuition and diesel costs and described planned transfers into the athletics fund and Title I grant to correct multi-year accounting items.
