Three Village students accepted to broad range of colleges, board hears

Dr. Scanlon told the Three Village Central School District Board of Education on May 19 that the district's graduating class received acceptances to a wide array of colleges and service academies.
He said acceptances ranged geographically "from the University of Maine to the University of Hawaii and internationally from the University of Edinburgh to the University of Hong Kong." He listed commonly applied-to institutions and reported application and acceptance counts for the most-applied schools: "Stony Brook University led the list for the Class of 2026 with 221 applicants and 136 accepted; Binghamton had 200 applicants and 121 accepted," Dr. Scanlon said. He added that 18 students were admitted to Ivy League schools (representing six of the eight Ivy institutions named), and that several students enlisted in the military or received ROTC scholarships, including placements at West Point, the Naval Academy and the Merchant Marine Academy.
"So congratulations to the Class of 2026," Dr. Scanlon said, praising the graduates' outcomes.
