The Milan City Council on May 5 voted unanimously to approve an easement agreement with Eagle Springs (subject to city-attorney review), approve a lease with Milan Senior Healthy Living (MSHL) and to pay bills and payroll totaling $319,322.55. The council also opened and closed a public hearing on the proposed 2026-2027 city budget; no members of the public offered comment during that hearing.
The easement agreement was presented as a matter for action and approved with a motion by Councilmember Nie and a second by Councilmember Stafford. The minutes record the motion "to approve upon attorney review" and note the motion carried unanimously.
Later in the meeting the council considered and approved a lease agreement with Milan Senior Healthy Living; the motion was made by Mayor Pro-Tem Kerkes and seconded by Councilmember Gress and carried unanimously.
