Benton County supervisors approve temporary promotion of Kelsey Robins to collections manager

The Benton County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved Resolution #26-42 on May 12, temporarily promoting Kelsey Robins to the position of collections manager at an annual salary of $60,000, effective immediately.

The resolution states that Robins has performed the duties of collections paralegal for more than two years and "has demonstrated a superior understanding and application of the practices and procedures to collect unpaid criminal court debt." The county attorney recommended the promotion in the resolution language; the board voted with Supervisors Ron Tippett, Bruce Volz and Chairman Tracy Seeman all voting aye.

Supervisor Ron Tippett moved to approve the agenda at the start of the meeting; Supervisor Bruce Volz seconded. The board then reviewed entries for the Historic Preservation coloring contest while waiting for Attorney Ray Lough, who was running late due to court. Later in the session Volz moved and Tippett seconded the motion to adopt Resolution #26-42, which the board recorded in full in the meeting materials. The resolution is captioned "Temporary Promotion for Kelsey Robins" and specifies the $60,000 salary and that the promotion is effective immediately.

The meeting record shows signatures for Chairman Tracy Seeman and Supervisors Bruce Volz and Ron Tippett, with Hayley Rippel attesting as Benton County Auditor. The board adjourned at 12:12 p.m. after a final unanimous motion to close the session.
