The Lake Zurich Village Board on Jan. 5 approved its consent agenda, which included the semi-monthly warrant totaling $2,485,242.21 and several municipal contracts and license actions.
Clerk Kathleen Johnson read the consent-agenda items into the record: approval of minutes from Dec. 1, 2025; the semi-monthly warrant registered 01/05/2026 totaling $2,485,242.21; a purchase of beet heat from KTech Specialty Coatings not to exceed $36,000; a contract with Midwest Salt for bulk water-conditioning salt not to exceed $170,000; an ordinance to issue a Class A liquor license to Andy's Kitchen LLC (500 Eula Road) and a Class M light liquor license to IMS World Corp (884 South Rand Road); and a resolution releasing a letter of credit for Alpha Technical at 1400 Rose Road (resolution 20022601107).
The chair asked a clarifying question about IMS World Corp, noting the business was identified in the reading as a sake/sushi operation that is changing from a full license to a BYOB arrangement. "IMS World Corp is sake sushi and they're just changing their license from a full license to a BYOB," the chair said, and the clerk confirmed the description.
A trustee moved to approve the consent agenda as presented and another trustee seconded. The clerk called the roll and trustees recorded affirmative votes; the chair announced the motion carried and that all items on the consent agenda passed.
The approvals authorize the listed purchases and license actions; the ordinance and resolution were identified by the titles read into the record. The board did not debate separate votes on individual consent items during the meeting.
The board moved on to other routine business and adjourned to an executive session later in the evening.
