The Adair County Commission voted unanimously on May 4, 2026, to establish a 30-mph speed limit on Dogwood Lane after a second public hearing produced no opposition. Presiding Commissioner Mark Shahan moved to set the speed limit from U.S. 63 at the south end of Dogwood Lane to U.S. 63 at the south side of the bypass; Commissioner King seconded and the motion passed with all voting in favor.

At 11:00 a.m. the commission opened the request for qualifications for a general contractor to install snow/ice shields on the courthouse roof. The record shows a single RFQ was submitted by Daikin-TMi; the commission did not record an award at the meeting, only that the RFQ was opened and that Daikin-TMi was the sole respondent.
